Greases

Grease is a semi-solid lubricant which consists of an oil that is mixed with a thicker & additives. Greases are applied to mechanisms that can be lubricated infrequently and where a lubricating oil would not stay in position. They also act as sealants to prevent ingress of water and incompressible materials. The function of grease is to remain intact and lubricate moving surfaces without leaking out under the force of gravity, centrifugal action or being squeezed out under pressure.
